The Water Project (The Rain man Of Rajasthan)

Hi Everyone,
I watched this very emotional video made by (The Water Project) that was about how people in Africa have no water to drink, they have to walk miles back and forth trying to collect water from dirty ponds, rivers, that is contaminated with all sorts of different diseases that then spreads to the people that drink the water.

The Water Project invests in local solutions to the local water crisis in sub-Saharan Africa. Providing access to clean, safe water helps capable and determined people realize the hope they have for their own futures.

For many of the people suffering today the water they so desperately need is right below them. It might be just a few feet away, blocked underground. Wells can be constructed by bringing water to hundreds, rainwater can be captured and stored by buckets.  Access to all clean water helps a community like the Africans to climb that first step out of poverty. Clean water enables cleaner personal hygiene and proper sanitation. Water and hygiene also help to improve health, and bad diseases are reduced by a heap.  The more people that are healthy and are hygienic are ready to go back into the school they will concentrate harder, think more generously and freed to study in the evenings and later.

This task was very interesting to listen to and read. I'm really starting to enjoy completing the Summer Learning Journey, and so far I have been really interested and had a lot of fun. I learned a lot about the water and how it is affecting not only Africa but also in a heap of other countries. The video I watched was really inspirational and make me realize how effective it really is and what it is causing. I really enjoyed this task today. Have you ever gone to a different country before to help save a loved one?
