Hi Everyone,
Today's task with the Summer Learning Journey is "Leading By Example" What is your random act of kindness? For this task you had to think of a random act of kindness you have done before, how did that person feel and how did it make you feel. Because it is the Christmas month, a few weeks ago my mum and I were taking my dog (Baxter) for a walk around the subdivision. Randomly my mum mentioned to me about how we should bake some cookies for the homeless.
So later that evening we stayed up and baked some nice Hokey Pokey biscuits. The day after we drove around town we got out of the car and had a walk around. As we were turning the corner we walked past a shop named Balleyntines where we saw a bunch of homeless people sitting down some with a warm jacket or jersey wrapped around them and a cardboard sign saying "Starving" so we got to the man and offered them a couple of cookies they were so happy and joyful and were very thankful, it made theirs and my day. Have you ever done something nice for someone else before? If so what did you do that was kind and how did they feel?

Kia ora Bella,
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely act of kindness and it sounds like those folk really appreciated it.
I do lots of little acts of kindness like opening doors for people and picking up something if they drop it however I have not ever done anything like this. That may be the challenge for our family over the holidays to do an act of kindness like the one you have done.
What is your next act of kindness going to be?
Nga mihi,
Mark
Kia Ora Bella,
ReplyDeleteWhat an incredibly kind thing to do! Helping out people less fortunate than you is incredibly thoughtful and a great way to spread the act of good-doing. I’m so proud of you. You’re definitely leading by a great example!
I recently read about a movement called ‘Do Good Recklessly’. It’s a movement that says be kind just for the sake of being kind, no matter what. I really like the philosophy behind it. Being kind to people is a great way to spread positivity and joy, especially around this time of year. I try to do one nice thing a day to help others or make them smile. Sometimes I tell a woman in the street that she has a beautiful dress on, other days I cook for my friends if I know they don’t have much money to spend on food. I like how you handed out cookies to the hungry. That’s a lovely gesture!
Have you done any more kind deeds? Perhaps you could tell me about them!
Happy blogging!
