Hi Everyone,
Today's task with the Summer Learning Journey Programme is HUMANITARIAN HEROES! In what five ways could we help support the people who are affected by the fires in New South Wales, Australia. You could think of ways to raise money, things to send them, and ways to keep them feeling positive. For my brainstorm idea, I have been using Google Draw. I will do advertising e.g on social media but I would like to do as much as I can face to face as it makes it more personal. In what five ways could you help the people living in Australia?
I was a pupil at Marshland School and this blog is where I shared my learning. This blog has been archived, no further content will be uploaded or added. You are welcome to continue viewing posts, however commenting has been disabled.

To support my learning I ask you to comment as follows:
1. Something positive - Begin with a greeting. Talk about something you like about what I have shared.
2. Thoughtful - A comment that will mean something to me to let me know you read/watched or listened to what I had to say. - use any language.
3. Something helpful - Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.
Encourage me to make another post

Kia ora Bella, this is Kieryn from the Summer Learning Journey.
ReplyDeleteYou have come up with some extremely awesome and caring ways to help the people affected by the fires in Australia.
Collecting donations seems to be one of the main things you have focused on in your post, and I think that is an excellent way to help all of our friends in Australia.
In situations like these everything helps, even if it is just a tin of beans or a pair of socks!
Have you ever donated anything to a charity before? If so, when?
I always donate any clothes that don’t fit me to my local op-shop. I also try to buy the majority of my clothes from these kinds of stores as well so I am contributing to the charities as well as helping reduce the amount of waste I am creating.
Have you ever been to Australia?
Australia is such a beautiful country, so it is sad to see how the fires have spread and are destroying nearly everything in their path.
Hopefully the firefighters can get some control over them so the people in Australia can relax again!
