Todays Task with the Summer Learning Journey Programme is "Hidden Figures" For this activity we would like you to give coding a try. Click on the link for the website: code.org. If you try an activity and it is too easy, try a harder level! On your blog, post a screenshot of your completed shape. Underneath the shape tell us what you thought of the coding app. Is it good? Why/why not? Have you ever done coding before, if so what did you make was it a game?
In my opinion, at first, I found it quite difficult to make, but then I started picking it up and I managed to create a square, triangle and rectangle. This website is a great website to use if you are learning to code and once you start making simple little things like a shape you can start making really fun games to play. When I was in year five I made a penguin game and a dress up game and I'm thinking I will start to make another.

Hi Bella,
ReplyDeleteIt really looks like you got the knack of coding quite nicely. Your square is beautiful, did it take very long to construct? When I was in school I remember coding a traffic light to change colours at different times. It took me a while to work out but I was so proud when I finished it. Have you tried coding other shapes and pictures, perhaps you could try and code a star!
It would be really awesome if you could include pictures or colours into your post to really engage your readers. Perhaps you could look at these tips for making eye catching blog posts to help or grab some inspiration.
Keep up the spectacular work!
