BookWorms!

Hello Readers,
I have finished week three tasks and moving towards week four. Today's task with the Summer Learning Journey Programme is "BookWorms" For this activity, design a book cover for your favourite book. You will need to think about what needs to be on the cover (the title, author, illustrator), pictures, colour, etc. Please create all of the images yourself (draw or photograph) rather than using images that you find online. On your blog, share the book cover you have designed. This task was so much fun because I love to create all sorts of different drawings and designs! Have you ever designed your own book cover, if so what book was it?

My favourite novel of all time is "A Dogs Way Home" For the book cover it has a small dog sitting in a shoe with laces in her mouth. This book cover took me a while to draw and to add all of the features. Here is my book cover I hope that you enjoy!

  1. Wow Bella, you’ve done an outstanding job designing your book cover. You’ve paid a heap of attention to detail and the result is incredible. You should be so proud of what you have accomplished.

I particularly like how you have designed the puppy. It’s very cute and I like how you have put a shoelace in its mouth! Your use of the red shoe is also a great way to include more colour into the book cover, and complements your picture nicely!

Did you draw it by hand or use a design programme? Are there any other cool book covers you would like to design?

  2. Hi Shannon, thank you so much for your comment! Yes I did draw this from hand, ad I am really proud of it. Another book cover I would like to design would probably have to be a Roald Dahl Book.

    Kind Regards
    Bella
