Kea Kids News (Alligator)

Hello Bloggers, Today's task for my Home Learning is to read an article from Kea Kids News. As soon as I hopped on the Kea Kids News website, there were many very astonishing articles that looked like something that I would personally love to read. The news article that I chose was called "How To Move An Alligator Across The North Island". The article was about an Alligator Named Cheryl, The National Aquarium Of New Zealand in Napier has been borrowing Cheryl from Butterfly Creek in Auckland for over nine years when they should have had Cheryl for two years instead of nine. The National Aquarium was very sad that Cheryl had to leave although they were very happy that she was going to be in her own habitat environment especially with her family. Butterfly Creek's Ryan Gedye showed KEA Kids News the long circular crate that he used to bring Cheryl back to Tāmaki Makaurau, and even let our intrepid reporter India George pop inside and have a look. Ryan showed us how exactly the Alligator will go inside of the crate and then leave the crate once she got home. The reports from Kea Kids News today were great they were also very confident and intriguing. I would love to have the opportunity for Kea Kids News to come to my school and we could report something of our own. Have you ever seen Kea Kids News before, Or have you ever been on the show before?

India George tries out the custom crate created to transport Cheryl the alligator. After 9 years, Cheryl the alligator has a newly built habitat.
